Scholarships - Illinois Water Environment Association Sponsorship Opportunities IWPC-IL Wastewater Professionals Conference IWEA supports several scholarships/award programs as well as a curriculum designed to teach middle school students about the water environment. Click on the links below to find out more about these programs. Scholarship Application Deadline is February 28, 2026.
For college students entering their junior or senior year, or graduate school Environmental Career Scholarship The scholarship application deadline is February 28, 2026. For high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall Scholarship Application Deadline is February 28, 2026. Application consideration is open to everyone registered for IPSI.
However, public works professionals, plant operators, and IWEA members are preferred. Sylvanus Jackson Scholarship This Scholarship is available to students attending the Environmental Resources Training Center, ERTC, at Southern Illinois University. It is administered through the SIU Foundation.
InFlow Interest Form is due by December 5, 2025. Each year IWEA makes contributions to organizations for specific charitable projects related to water and the water environment. In the past, we have made grants to organizations such as Engineers Without Borders and Haiti Outreach.
We have also supported student lead projects which bring clean water to underserved regions. Use the link below to access our grant application. For students in grades 6 -12 Stockholm Junior Water Prize For students in grades 9 - 12 IWEA supports several water environment related non-profit organizations.
