Taiho Oncology supports independent medical education (IME) grants to provide funding for educational programs and initiatives that help healthcare professionals maintain, develop, or improve their knowledge, skills, and performance.

Continuing Medical Education | Taiho Oncology, Inc. PROVIDING GRANTS IN SUPPORT OF INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EDUCATION (IME) Taiho Oncology recognizes the importance of continuing education in healthcare and supports these efforts through independent medical education (IME) grants.

These grants provide funding for independent educational programs and initiatives that help healthcare professionals maintain, develop, or improve their knowledge, skills, and performance. Programs may include accredited continuing medical education (CME) as well as non-CME activities.

Taiho is proud to support education that is evidence-based and unbiased, with the goal of closing clinical and practice gaps, enhancing patient care quality and delivery, and promoting meaningful changes in clinical practice. Requests for Education (RFEs) are issued to support projects aligned with Taiho’s medical priorities, focusing on specific therapeutic areas to improve patient outcomes. Applications may only be submitted through our Medical Education Grants online portal a minimum of 60 days prior to the activity date. Medical Education Grants may only be provided in response to an unsolicited written request.

A completed online application includes the following: Letter of request on the organization's letterhead with a description of the program and/or brochure; Proof of accreditation by the ACCME, EACCME, ACPE, NLNAC, or a medical society recognized by the ACCME or EACCME. Taiho will provide grants directly to the Accredited Provider and take reasonable measures to ensure that grant funds are spent appropriately.

Approval of grant funding will be acknowledged through a signed Letter of Agreement (LOA) executed by an authorized representative of the organization. For over 4 years, LONSURF ® (trifluridine and tipiracil) has been used to help treat adult patients with metastatic colorectal and metastatic stomach (gastric) cancer.
