Settle Community Leadership Award Nominations The purpose of the Anna H.
Settle Community Leadership Award is to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities as volunteer leaders.
Has chaired a specific community service program which provided, or continues to provide, a benefit to the community Chaired an Altrusan project or program (not a fundraiser) – they may have chaired a project sponsored in cooperation with another civic or charitable organization Lives or works in the community of the nominating Altrusa Club Is a true volunteer, not a paid staff member Does not have to be a Altrusa member There may be only one (1) nomination per Altrusa Club.
The Anna H. Settle Community Leadership Award will be presented at the San Antonio, TX Convention in July 2023. The monetary prize is $4,000 (US) – to be given to the winner’s project, or a service project of their choice.

A local Altrusa Club completes a one-page application based on the project and need of the literacy program.

The Altrusa International Foundation is supportive of various literacy activities, assisting small, rural public libraries to improve library collections and services, improve adult and family literacy, and develop economic viability in targeted counties and communities. A local Altrusa Club completes a one-page application based on the project and need of the literacy program.
Svane Family Foundation Culture Forward Grants is a $5 million grant initiative from the Svane Family Foundation that supports arts and culture projects attracting families, students, and young professionals to Downtown San Francisco. The program is open to individual artists, artist collectives, and arts and culture organizations. Applications opened January 7, 2025, and remain open on a rolling basis through 2027, with projects reviewed and awarded quarterly. The next application deadline is 11:59 PM on March 1, 2026. Applicants may submit one application per quarterly grant cycle and are eligible to reapply in subsequent cycles. Interested applicants should review the grant guidelines and watch the application tutorial before submitting through the Svane Family Foundation Submission Manager.
