Variety WA's Individual Grants help provide practical support that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of WA children and their families. They provide funding for adaptive equipment, therapies, and resources that help children move, grow, and thrive.

Check Eligibility & Apply What can an Individual Grant cover? While the individual programs we provide may not be unique, the breadth of our support for children is unmatched.

Giving the gift of freedom, independence, exercise and joy to children who are living with a disability, illness, experiencing disadvantage, or those who have never been fortunate enough to have a bike of their own. Check Eligibility & Apply Assistance to access trained assistance dogs that support children with disability or illness, helping improve safety, independence, emotional wellbeing and participation in everyday life.

Hearing and Communication Aids Grants for hearing aids, speech-generating devices and other communication technologies to help children with hearing loss or communication difficulties. Assistance to access medical equipment, such as insulin pumps and other medical consumables, helping children maintain their health, independence and quality of life.

Assistance to access mobility aids such as modified strollers, walkers or adapted bikes, giving children greater independence and freedom of movement. Assistance to access assistive technology such as communication devices, tablets or specialised software, helping children improve communication, learning and independence in everyday life.

Support for purchasing sensory tools and equipment, such as fidget devices, weighted blankets or sensory swings, designed to improve a child’s learning, focus and wellbeing. Every child’s needs are different. Our Individual Grants offer flexible, personalised assistance to ensure children can access the tools, resources and experiences they need to thrive.
