Future CoRe (NSF 25-543) advertises $280 million and 400 to 600 awards across 11 programs, with a September 10, 2026 target date. The directorate behind it is running 43 percent below its own four-year average, $1 billion of NSF's budget is locked in a central account, and the two-proposal cap is enforced with no exceptions. Here is how to read the gap between what the solicitation promises and what the directorate is actually paying for.
Read articleNSF 26-525 keeps the $15 million, seven-year headline that makes Expeditions the largest single investment CISE makes. What changed is underneath: funding is now split into three explicit phases, Years 6 and 7 are contingent on a Year 5 site visit, the Innovation Transition supplement is gone, and the competition calendar moved from June to December — pushing awards out past 2028.
Read articleTCUP lists eight funding tracks and roughly $10.3M a year, but the October 14, 2026 deadline applies to only three of them — CHAI, Pre-TI, and TCUP Partnerships — and each carries a restriction that disqualifies most applicants. Here is the track-by-track math.
