[](https://www. transportation. gov/grants/mpdg-program) ## FY26 INFRA Grant Program #### Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight and Highways Projects (INFRA) The Notice of Funding Opportunity is now open for the Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight and Highways Projects (INFRA) grant program.
The primary goal of the INFRA program is to fund surface transportation infrastructure projects of national or regional significance that improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the movement of people and goods. The Department seeks to invest in high-quality infrastructure that modernizes aging assets, expands system capacity, and supports American innovation to support economic competitiveness.
With the integration of the FY 2026 appropriations, a targeted objective of this funding opportunity is to directly address the national shortage of commercial motor vehicle parking.
By funding projects that expand safe, accessible public parking for commercial drivers, the Department aims to reduce fatigue-related accidents, improve supply chain fluidity, and provide essential infrastructure along the Nation’s most critical freight corridors.
To support these national freight and mobility goals, the Department intends to invest in projects that enhance or maintain the operational efficiency of the national transportation network.
