ING Fund - What The Finance - 2026 | King Baudouin Foundation Many people in Belgium experience challenges when it comes to money matters: from young people taking their first steps into adulthood to single parents, newcomers, older people, or self-employed individuals who struggle to access clear and fair financial services.
Budgeting, saving, understanding loans, using digital banking tools… these are not straightforward skills for everyone. Meanwhile, countless well-intentioned, but sometimes confusing financial tips circulate online. The ING Fund: What The Finance , managed by the King Baudouin Foundation , wants to help change this.
We believe everyone, regardless of age, background or situation, deserves the chance to live financially healthy and independently. That’s why we support projects that help people gain financial insights, develop sustainable habits and strengthen their financial resilience. In recent years, numerous initiatives have been spearheaded to enhance financial literacy, and many tools have been developed.
This call for projects now focuses on strengthening these existing tools by expanding their reach, cross fertilization and amplifying their impact. What kind of projects are we looking for? We welcome initiatives that build on existing financial literacy tools and aim to expand their reach and impact.
These initiatives may: Train professionals or volunteers to use financial education tools with young people and adults; Increase the visibility of existing tools among the right target audiences; Collaborate with partners to broaden reach and strengthen impact; Transform offline tools into accessible online formats; Translate and disseminate proven tools from other languages; Adapt or update existing proven tools in a creative and accessible way; Develop additional activities and strategies to further increase impact and reach.
We are seeking impact-driven projects that empower both young people and adults to gain greater financial confidence.
Projects can focus on one or more of the following pillars: Financial inclusion : improving access to fair financial services, protection from exploitation; Future planning : helping people learn to save, budget, invest, and prepare for unexpected expenses; Financial literacy and awareness : explaining financial topics clearly such as rights, obligations, taxes, and daily money matters; Digital financial inclusion: equipping people with the digital skills needed to manage finances safely online; Employment and financial stability: linking financial knowledge to sustainable professional development.
We will favor proposals that highlight clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with specific durations as well as those that explain in which way building on existing tools enables an increase in impact.
