BURA Façade Improvement Grant The Brighton Urban Renewal Authority (BURA) Façade Improvement Grant Program is a competitive grant program meant to encourage property owners and tenants of buildings within eligible portions of Brighton’s core downtown plan area to make building improvements that will revitalize the area and attract customers to shop, dine and do business in Brighton.
Applications are open and due December 31, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Proposition 123 Fast Track Policy Early Adoption Incentives Incentive awards are available for early adoption of Prop 123 Fast Track Policies (no local match required).
To qualify, jurisdictions must submit documentation via the Prop 123 portal by the following deadlines, and then submit documentation of policy adoption via the Prop 123 Portal: Adopt by December 31, 2025: Receive up to $50,000. Adopt by January 1 – June 30, 2026: Eligible for smaller incentive awards.

Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Grant Program The Accessory Dwelling Unit Grant (ADUG) Program enacted by HB24-1152 (§§ 29-35-401 – 29-35-405) provides grants to accessory dwelling unit (ADU) Supportive Jurisdictions for activities that promote the construction of ADUs.
The next round of ADUG funding will run February 2-27, 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to fill out this short ADUG interest survey and register for an information session . Housing Planning Grant Program (HPLN) The HPLN Grant Program offers funding to support Housing Needs Assessments, Housing Action Plans, and Comprehensive Plan Elements (strategic growth and water supply).

Brighton Business Investment Program The Brighton Investment Program (BIP) is a grant program designed to enhance the vitality and prosperity of our local economy by cultivating a thriving business community.
BIP provides support for business investment initiatives that focus on beautifying our city, generating and preserving jobs, attracting visitors, and improving the range of services and amenities available in Brighton Applications are due on the 1st of each month.
Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP) IHIP helps address Colorado’s housing shortage by supporting the development and expansion of the state’s innovative housing manufacturing businesses. Applications for the IHIP grant are open and accepted on a rolling basis.
Middle Income Housing Authority Applications The Middle-Income Housing Authority (MIHA) is accepting applications for middle-income housing projects (80% – 120% Area Median Income) to apply for tax-exempt bond financing. Applications are open and accepted on a rolling basis. Provides grants to eligible local or tribal governments and forgivable loans to eligible nonprofits with a demonstrated history of providing affordable housing.
These funds must be used to acquire and preserve land for affordable for-sale housing or affordable rental housing. Mixed use may be allowed so long as the predominate use is affordable housing. Applications open and are accepted until funds are exhausted.
Brighton Community Loan Fund The partnership between CEF and Brighton began in 2020 to provide loans to small businesses within the city limits of Brighton. New & Emerging Industries Apprenticeship Tax Credit The New & Emerging Industries Apprenticeship Tax Credit was created by HB24-1439 Financial Incentives Expand Apprenticeship Programs to encourage the adoption and expansion of Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the New & Emerging Industries.
The Tax Credit is a refundable tax credit that employers of Registered Apprenticeship Programs in Colorado can claim for apprentices in “New & Emerging” occupations. Apply to Reserve the Tax Credit. You may be eligible for a state income tax credit of up to $5,000 to help offset the cost of making your home more accessible through the Home Modification Tax Credit (HMTC) program.
Applications are being accepted for retrofits completed as far back as 2019, and will be available through 2028. Global Consultant Network The Global Consultant Network helps Colorado-based small businesses expand into other countries. Consulting services typically last between three and eight months.
Consultants offer these services: In-country partner meetings. Consultants can help your business in these countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. OEDIT accepts applications on a rolling basis.
Advanced Industries Export Grant The Advanced Industries Export Grant helps Colorado-based advanced industries technology businesses who want to export or are currently exporting. This grant is for small- and medium-sized businesses. It reimburses for international business development and marketing costs.
Businesses can apply for up to $15,000 and up to 50% of the approved expenses. OEDIT accepts applications on a rolling basis. Entrepreneur Grant Program Every entrepreneur deserves the chance to thrive, no matter where they live.

With grants of up to $5,000, they support rural startup founders and small business owners in accessing technical assistance opportunities that drive success. Startup Colorado prioritizes initiatives and events that are rooted in collaboration, inclusiveness, accessibility, and community.
Startup Colorado accepts applications on a rolling basis. The Freight Rail Tax Credit gives tax relief to businesses that use freight rail lines that might otherwise close down due to decreased coal production. This program was created by Senate Bill 24-190, and codified under Colorado Revised Statute 39-22-563.
The Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) manages this program, in consultation with the Office of Just Transition (OJT) and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). The goal of the Freight Rail Tax Credit is to incentivize businesses to use specific rail lines in Coal Transition communities in Colorado.
Businesses can get back up to 75% of their eligible costs (Qualified Expenditures) through this state income tax credit. A business must use the tax credit for the same tax year that it had the qualified expenses and executed their freight rail use plan, but it may reserve tax credits for future years.
If the tax credit a business receives is more than the income tax it owes for that year, the business will get the extra amount back as a refund (Refundable tax credit). Reservation applications are open for tax years starting on or after January 1, 2026.
