2026 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Grantee, A Farm Less Ordinary In Northern Virginia, 43 percent of working-age adults with an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) are employed, compared to 83 percent of those without a disability.
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia provides grants to support those in our region with cognitive disabilities gain access to basic needs and/or meaningful employment opportunities, fostering greater independence and inclusion in our communities.
Through the Community Investment Funds grant cycle, we focus on addressing basic needs and helping those with IDDs gain meaningful employment, fostering greater independence and inclusion in our community.
The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Fund is a component fund of The Permanent Fund for Northern Virginia , an unrestricted endowment at the Community Foundation that makes grants to help build a community that works for everyone.
