InvestinCook. CC@cookcountyil. gov THE 2026 INVEST IN COOK PROGRAM ANNOUNCED The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways announced the list of projects that will receive funding under the 2026 Invest in Cook grant program.
A total of $8,290,548 will be distributed across 36 recipients to fund three transit, nine bicycle, 12 pedestrian and 12 road projects which will leverage an additional $19 million from other sources. This is the tenth year Invest in Cook grant funding has been awarded for transportation-related projects. In total, nearly $81 million in grants have been distributed to 346 projects throughout Cook County, which enabled $223.
