Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) Grant Requests is sponsored by Orthofix Medical Inc.. Orthofix supports independent third-party research (ITPR) that advances scientific, clinical, and health-economic knowledge related to medical technologies and patient care. This is investigator-initiated and independently controlled.

To help fulfill this vision, when appropriate, Orthofix supports requests for grants and other charitable donations to be used in connection with medical education, CME-accredited speaker programs, fellowships at teaching institutions, and charitable events related to limb reconstruction conditions 2026 Grants have been Fully Funded Thank you for your interest in Orthofix Medical Inc.’s grant programs.

We are proud to support initiatives that advance healthcare education, research, and patient care, and we appreciate the important work being conducted throughout the global healthcare community. At this time, funding available for educational grants, fellowship support, and monetary charitable donations for 2026 has been fully allocated .

As a result, we are no longer accepting new requests in these categories for the remainder of 2026. Please note that product donation requests will continue to be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis . In addition, Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) grant requests remain eligible for submission and will continue to be evaluated through our standard review process.

Organizations and individuals seeking support for educational programs, fellowships, or charitable initiatives are encouraged to submit requests for consideration during our 2027 funding cycle . Additional information regarding 2027 funding availability and application timelines will be posted as it becomes available. Orthofix Medical Inc. Grants Team How to Request an Education Grant or Donation Educational Grants, Charitable Contribution and Gala Event/Fundraising To request an education grant (including a production donation for educational use), charitable contribution (either monetary or in-kind product donation), or support for a gala event or fundraising, please complete an Education Grant, Charitable Contribution or Fundraising Request Form by clicking the button below.

Once you have completed the form and provided all required supporting documentation, your request will be automatically routed to the Orthofix Grant Committee for processing. Orthofix has a limited budget for sponsoring fellowship programs.

Orthofix aims to support highly respected, top-tier academic teaching institutions who are training the next generation of surgeons in limb reconstruction, neurosurgery or specialty orthopedic fellowship programs. Where possible, the company seeks to divide its support across programs that are geographically diverse.

Orthofix prefers to sponsor accredited fellowship programs but will consider strong programs that are not accredited if there are compelling reasons to do so. Orthofix cannot sponsor a specific fellow. Approved grants will be made to the affiliated institution, not an individual.

Fellowship funding from Orthofix is subject to Sunshine Act reporting. If you believe your program fits this criteria, please proceed with completing a Fellowship Application Form. Fellowship Application Form Investigator-Initiated Research Grant Requests Orthofix supports Independent Third-Party Research (ITPR) that advances scientific, clinical, and health-economic knowledge related to medical technologies and patient care.

ITPR is investigator-initiated and independently controlled, with Orthofix having no role in the design, conduct, or interpretation of the research. Support may be provided in the form of: Financial support (research grants), and/or In-kind support (e.g., devices, supplies, or technical training). All support is provided in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and the AdvaMed Code of Ethics.

Approved support will be governed by a written agreement . Submission of an application does not guarantee funding or support. Research must be independent of Orthofix sales, marketing, or promotional activities.

Funding decisions are based solely on scientific merit, feasibility, and compliance considerations. Support will not be provided to influence purchasing decisions or product use. Independent Third-Party Research (ITPR) Support Application What is the difference between an Educational Grant and a Commercial Sponsorship?

Per the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, a “Commercial Sponsorship” is “a payment or in-kind support provided to a third party in exchange for advertising or promotional opportunities for the Company”. Therefore, we kindly request that all grant applications exclude any opportunities for advertising or promotional activities associated with the requested funds or products.

For Commercial Sponsorship opportunities please contact your local Orthofix Marketing, medical education or sales representative. How long does it take to process? To allow time for processing, please note that all requests should be received a minimum of six (6) weeks prior to the inception of the event.

What are the required supporting materials for all grant requests?

The required supporting materials for ALL grant requests EXCEPT requests for product donations not related to an educational course (e.g., a mission trip) are as follows: A copy of the educational course agenda; For grants with CME, documentation that CMEs will be awarded which is consistent with ACCME or similar standards; Copy of materials sent to prospective attendees.

Materials must sufficiently establish that the event has a legitimate business, scientific, or education al purpose, is not held at a resort location, and is held at a venue that is conducive to an educational program; A copy of the organization’s total budget for the conference, indicating percentage spent on overhead and on educational content; A list of other corporations/foundations contributing to the project/program; If the requestor is a U.S. entity, a copy of the organization’s W-9 form, reflecting the organization’s Employer ID number (EIN) (also known as a taxpayer ID number); If the organization is an entity outside of the U.S., documentation reflecting the organization’s business registration number; Documentation of the organization’s tax-exempt status, whether under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6), or under a similar country or state law; and A list of the requesting organization’s Board or Directors.

A copy of the organization’s Articles of Incorporation. What do I need to provide for product donation requests not related to an educational course?

A letter on the requesting organization’s letterhead that describes the requesting organization and outlines the scope, duration, location and purpose of the medical mission; and A list of desired Orthofix products, including the quantity needed of each product, along with a description of how the Orthofix products will be used. Additional information may be requested. What Orthofix products are eligible for donation?

Orthofix will only donate products that are approved, registered, and/or compatible with equipment in the country where the products will be used. The particular products that may be donated will be determined by the Grant Committee. The Grant Committee reserves the right to amend or discontinue the consideration of such donations at any time.

Do I use the Education Grant, Charitable Contribution, Fellowship or Fundraising Request Form to offer Orthofix the opportunity to provide exhibit space and/or advertising at an event or program? It depends. If you are offering just exhibit space and/or advertising, contact your local Orthofix marketing, medical education or sales representative.

If you are requesting a grant that includes, but is not limited to, exhibit space, use the education grant application process outlined above. Can my local Orthofix marketing, medical education or sales representative prepare and submit a grant application for me?

No. Consistent with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, MedTech Code, other country-specific codes and Orthofix policy, an Orthofix marketing, medical education or sales representative may NOT prepare and submit a grant application on behalf of a customer.

However, Orthofix marketing, medical education or sales representatives may direct applicants to the Orthofix Grants informational website for assistance and directions on how to submit a request. Who at Orthofix decides whether to approve or deny a grant or charitable donation request? The Orthofix Grant Committee is the only group authorized to approve or deny a grant or charitable donation request.

The Grant Committee meets on a monthly basis and reviews and makes the decision on all grant requests, regardless of the amount of support requested. Can my local Orthofix marketing, medical education or sales representative make sure that my grant or charitable contribution request is approved?

No. Consistent with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, MedTech Code, other country-specific codes and Orthofix policy, Orthofix does not permit marketing, medical education or sales representatives to participate in the Orthofix Grant Committee. What does the Grant Committee consider when reviewing applications for grants or charitable contributions?

The Orthofix Grant Committee’s decisions are based on several factors, including, but not limited to, (i) whether the application satisfies the Company’s grant program criteria, (ii) the quality of the event, activity or program, and (iii) available budget. Can I expect my grant or charitable contribution request to be approved since we are an important Orthofix customer?

No. Consistent with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, the MedTech Code, other country-specific codes and Orthofix policy, any decision will be based on the merits of each specific grant request. No consideration may be given to the amount of business that a customer has done or may do with Orthofix. In fact, the implication that a grant will impact the volume or value of Orthofix will be grounds for denial.

How long will it take to receive a decision on my grant application? Most grant or charitable contribution requests are approved or denied within four to six weeks after a complete application (including all support documentation) is received. The dates of the Grant Committee meetings vary, so we cannot provide you with a cutoff date for each month.

If my grant request was approved last year, can I assume that it will be approved again this year? No. The Grant Committee considers hundreds of grant applications each year. It may decide to fund different programs, activities and events each year.

There may also be budgetary restrictions. Always submit your grant request allowing plenty of time to seek alternative funding in case the Orthofix Grant Committee decides to reduce the amount of support you are requesting or deny the request altogether. If my grant request is approved, who do I contact regarding any exhibit space, advertising space or tickets included with the Orthofix grant?
