Our financial, in-kind and volunteer contributions have significant, measurable impact in the communities we serve. We focus our philanthropic investments on three specific areas: * Environmental Stewardship Through our community assistance, we help feed the hungry and provide shelter, direction and hope for homeless teens, adults and victims of abuse.
We work to improve the quality of life for the elderly, disabled and those with limited incomes by funding critical home repairs that increase their safety and comfort while reducing their energy bills. ## Donated Equipment Supports Fire and Youth Training Local fire departments and training programs will soon use donated equipment from UniSource to stay safe on the job. UniSource is committed to community improvement and engagement.

This provides schools and students with essential supplies, funds learning camps and field trips and promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education.
We’re also committed to protecting and preserving the environment, wildlife and their habitats and conserving resources. We support groups that work to prevent wildfires, protect wildlife, and encourage us to explore the outdoors and learn about our natural world. We work with community partners to meet the needs of the most vulnerable, underserved members in our community.

We’re helping children be successful in school from preschool through higher education. ## Environmental Stewardship UniSource aspires to create a more sustainable future while meeting our customers’ need for affordable, reliable energy.
Volunteering is a big part of our company culture, and it starts at the top! Our company’s leaders are active in a wide array of community groups. We assist many nonprofit groups, even outside of our three focus areas, when supported by an engaged employee volunteer.
In addition to our philanthropic efforts, we provide several Customer Assistance programs. If you or someone you know is having difficulty paying utility bills or needs assistance with making energy efficiency improvements, UniSource can help. We offer discounts for customers with limited incomes, payment extension plans and weatherization assistance to those who qualify.
