Invisible Life Grant (Round 4, 2026) | GFMD « Back to all Fundings Invisible Life Grant (Round 4, 2026) Organisation: Journalismfund Europe Funding Size: €300,000 available in total Eligibility: cross-border teams of journalists/news outlets researching European animal welfare Application Language: English, Dutch, French The Invisible Life Grant supports cross-border teams of professional journalists and/or news outlets to conduct investigations into farm animal welfare and related European interests, both within and beyond Europe.
The programme is open to teams investigating how European agricultural policies, trade, or regulations affect farm animal welfare, supply chains, or environmental outcomes in Europe or globally where European interests are involved. Cross-border teams of professional journalists and/or news outlets investigating issues related to farm animal welfare and European interests, both within and beyond Europe, are eligible to apply.
Teams must include journalists from at least two different countries. The proposed investigation must have relevance to European audiences.
Team members’ details and outlet/organisation details Information about the intended investigation and intended publication channels, including letters of intent from news outlets A detailed budget using Journalismfund Europe’s budget template Additional administrative documents as required by the online form Register on the Journalismfund Europe grants portal, complete the online application form, upload letters of intent and budget, and submit before 27/08/2026 at 1 pm CET.
