* Donation Payment Details **Funding Deadline:** October 30, 2026 **Giving Type:** Timely Need Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) is an annual large scale, two-day community dental clinic where dental professionals and general volunteers donate their time to provide free oral health care to individuals who face barriers to receiving dental care.
A full-service field dental clinic with 100 dental operatories is set up and patients are treated on a first come, first served basis. The 2026 IMOM will be held November 13-14, 2026, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa. IMOM has been in Des Moines twice before.
In 2022, IMOM saw 1,009 patients and provided $1,018,709 in free dental care, and in 2013, 1,478 patients were provided $1,066,383 in free dental care. Our goal for 2026 is to treat over 1,000 patients and provide over $1 million in free care.

NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields.
