Travel awards support the academic and professional development of promising researchers and clinician-scientists in investigative dermatology, offering an exceptional opportunity to present your research internationally and forge valuable global collaborations.

Award recipients receive: $1,500 travel grant toward attending the annual meeting Waived registration fee to the 2026 JSID Annual Meeting An opportunity to visit and present at a host institution, facilitating academic exchange and collaboration Be active SID members in good standing Work in investigative dermatology at a US-based institution Hold one of the following positions: Resident, Postdoctoral Clinical or Research Fellow, Assistant Professor, or Medical Student Have submitted an abstract to the JSID Annual Meeting by the regular submission deadline (tentatively June 11, 2026).

Have not received a travel grant award from JSID. Applicants are permitted to apply for travel grants both through JSID’s abstract submission process and to SID, so long as they meet eligibility requirements, but no presenters will be awarded more than one travel grant between the two sponsoring institutions.

Coordinate and secure permission from a host department in Asia to facilitate a visit immediately before or after the JSID Annual Meeting. Abstract submissions for the 2026 JSID Annual Meeting are due by Thursday, June 11, 2026. PLEASE NOTE THE ABSTRACT DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 25, 2026 Travel Grant applications are due to SID by Monday, July 20, 2026.

Application materials (see below) should be emailed to Jim Rumsey at rumsey@sidnet. org . Application Details & Program Structure Recipients present new research at the JSID Annual Meeting and coordinate a departmental visit in Asia—either enroute to the meeting or immediately following.

The visit provides an opportunity to share data, receive academic feedback, and build professional connections with international colleagues.

Your application to SID should include: A copy of the abstract submitted to the JSID Annual Meeting (presenting new data) Current CV or Biosketch (brief versions preferred) Proposed departmental visit details, including dates and objectives Letter of confirmation from the Asian host department Selection and Notification of Awards A committee of SID leaders reviews applications and selects up to three recipients annually.

The selected awardee(s) will be notified no later than August 2026.

Service(s) may automatically collect information about how you and your device interact with us, such as: Computer, device and connection information, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system and other software installed on your device, unique device identifier and other technical identifiers, error reports and performance data; Usage data, such as the features you used, the settings you selected, URL click stream data, including date and time stamp and referring and exit pages, and pages you visited on the service; For location-aware services, the physical location of your device.

Credit card information received via fax, phone, or mail is entered into a secure system and then deleted and destroyed. The personal information we collect from you is stored in a database hosted by a third party, YourMembership (“YM”).

YM does not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval.

If you are an administrator of an institution with a subscription to a service, we will use your details to communicate with you about your institution’s subscription and related services. If you supply us contact information of your colleagues, we may include a reference to you when we contact those individuals with communications about the service(s).

Your Communications Preferences Accessing and Updating Your Information The Service may allow registered users to directly access their account information and make corrections or updates at any time. Keeping such information up to date is solely the responsibility of the user. Registered users may also close their account directly through the Service or by contacting the Service’s customer support.
