ISID Research Grants is sponsored by International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID). This opportunity supports mission-aligned projects and measurable outcomes.

The Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED) ISID Research Capacity Building Grants The International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID) International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID) World Health Days Campaigns Fostering innovation, generating new knowledge and ideas. Working with the infectious disease community worldwide to promote collaboration among researchers.

Enabling investigators to extend their research experience, learning, and sharing inside and outside their region. Supporting infectious disease professionals to develop their skills, conduct groundbreaking scientific research, and expand their horizons.

Research Grants and Fellowships ISID’s signature research grants and fellowships program have proven to be instrumental in fulfilling the Society's commitment to support health professionals, particularly in countries that disproportionately bear the burden of infectious diseases. Since 1995, ISID has awarded 165 seed grants to early-career researchers from 49 resource-limited countries with the aim of building research capacity.

The ISID research grants review and selection process is overseen by ISID’s Research Committee. More than 65 reviewers who were drawn from the ISID Executive Committee, Council, Emerging Leaders, staff, and external organizations participated in the review process. Reviewers represent ISID’s broad and diverse membership with representation of reviewers from all WHO regions.

Each proposal is reviewed and scored by at least two reviewers. The highest-ranking applications are then presented to the Research Committee, which makes the final selection during a teleconference call.
