JFF Research Grant - Jewish Fertility Foundation Hit enter to search or ESC to close Introducing the JFF Research Grant: Advancing the science of Jewish reproductive health. Jewish individuals and couples face fertility challenges shaped by genetics, culture, and community in ways that mainstream fertility research often overlooks. The Jewish Fertility Foundation Research Grant is changing that.
We’re awarding two $10,000 grants to early-career REI (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) fellows conducting original research on infertility among Jewish individuals and/or couples. Jewish communities, including Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Mizrahi populations, carry distinct genetic, cultural, and community-level factors that affect fertility and access to care.
Despite this, research focused specifically on Jewish infertility remains limited. JFF is stepping in to fund the next generation of researchers asking these questions.
We welcome original research on any of the following, though this list isn’t exhaustive: Reasons for seeking fertility treatment among Jewish individuals/couples Rates and incidence of infertility and need for ART Genetic factors affecting fertility in the Jewish population Cultural, religious, or community barriers to diagnosis and treatment Access to reproductive care and financial burden within the Jewish community Psychological and emotional impact of infertility on Jewish individuals and families Outcomes of ART in Jewish patient populations Fertility preservation for Jewish individuals facing medical illness or cancer LGBTQ+ family-building pathways within Jewish communities Recurrent pregnancy loss in Jewish patient populations Grant Award Terms & Requirements Grant Period: 12 months from award date Application Opens: Open Now!
Application Deadline: November 30, 2026 Review Period: December 2026 – January 2027 Acceptance Letters: February – March 2027 Presenting Your Findings : As a condition of the grant, awardees will be required to present their research findings at the conclusion of the 12-month grant period.
Presentation format and venue (which may include a virtual presentation, a JFF-hosted event, or a relevant academic/professional conference such as ASRM) will be confirmed with awardees after selection. Current REI fellows in an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in the U.S. MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent (completed or in progress) Applicants do not need to be Jewish; the research focus must center on Jewish populations seeking fertility treatment or experiencing infertility What You'll Need to Apply Completed application form Research proposal (2-3 pages) Mentor/sponsor letter of support Applicant CV or biosketch Budget and budget justification Disclaimer: Use of AI tools must be disclosed in your application.
