With more companies expanding in and moving to Ohio, the need for qualified talent continues to grow. JobsOhio is investing $300 million in experiential learning and career awareness to strengthen the state’s talent pipeline. Programming will be deployed in phases over a 10-year period with a focus on technicians and engineers, as well as roles supporting the state’s growing technology industry.
The first phase of the initiative will include launching a technician earn-and-learn program that connects Ohioans with high-wage technician roles. Ohio employers in targeted industries can receive financial incentives and support services to implement training opportunities. Additional program details coming soon.
