Supports Georgia 501(c)(3) nonprofits working on technology access, digital literacy, education, health, or basic needs to fight generational poverty and support job creation. Prioritizes the Atlanta metropolitan area but also considers organizations elsewhere in Georgia.

We support effective organizations assisting low-income individuals and families, and organizations conducting scientific research. Grant requests are accepted from January 1 through March 31 to be considered for an award during the current calendar year.

Grants will be considered for organizations assisting the underserved in Public Welfare, Health and Education, and for organizations focused on Science & Technology or Culture & Environment.

Empowering Communities, Inspiring Change The mission of the John and Mary Franklin Foundation is to support effective, well-led organizations, mostly within the Atlanta metropolitan community, that conduct and encourage scientific and technological research or provide assistance for low-income individuals and families with an emphasis on at-risk children.
