We consider JOIN! Grant requests from 501(c)(3) organizations that demonstrate strong mission alignment with one or more of our funding priorities and deliver measurable impact within our footprint: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union counties in New Jersey.
Organizations outside this footprint must contact OceanFirst Foundation for eligibility screening before submitting a request. Additional grant eligibility requirements may be found here . Inquiries to the Foundation are welcome and nonprofits that have not previously been awarded a grant from OceanFirst Foundation should call 732.

Through JOIN! , we empower nonprofits to lead initiatives that foster collaboration, volunteerism, and meaningful dialogue. Together, we can strengthen the fabric of society and drive lasting impact.
Each nonprofit may submit one request per category, and each request requires a separate application. Resources are limited, and demand exceeds our budget – so requests that demonstrate collaboration with other nonprofits, community organizations, leaders, and residents will be prioritized (except Civic Membership requests). Community-Led Volunteer Project Host a Jeffersonian Dinner (breakfast or lunch options available).

Grant must agree to use funds only as outlined in the approved proposal. Expect to receive a response to a request within one month of submission. OceanFirst Foundation makes it easy for nonprofits to apply through our secure Grant Request Portal .
