Juvenile Justice Specialist, Compliance Monitor, State Planning Agency Director Office of Policy and Management State Advisory Group Chair Deputy Associate Administrator State and Tribal Relations Assistance Division The OJJDP Title II Formula Grants Program provides funding to support state and local efforts to plan, establish, operate, coordinate, and evaluate policies and projects, directly or through grants and contracts with public and private agencies, for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs, as well as justice system improvement efforts.
The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the JJDP Act of 1974, as amended, at 34 U.S.C. § 11131-11133. Pursuant to Part B of Title II of the JJDP Act, to receive formula grants, states must submit a plan for carrying out Formula Grants Program activities applicable to a 3-year period.
