Kansas City Housing Gateway Case Management Request for Qualifications - United Way of Greater Kansas City Kansas City Housing Gateway Case Management Request for Qualifications The Kansas City Housing Gateway Program (KCHG) is the City of Kansas City’s initiative to reduce and prevent homelessness by connecting people experiencing housing instability to a coordinated system of resources, support, and housing placement.
The KCHG will provide assistance to resolve homelessness through two primary tracks: Encampment Decommissioning – Connecting eligible individuals to housing, using a new Municipal Voucher Program (city-funded rental subsidies), leveraging market rate rental units provided through partnerships with private landlords.
Under the direction of the City of Kansas City, Missouri Housing Department, United Way will serve as third-party administrator (TPA) for the Kansas City Housing Gateway program. Interested nonprofit organizations are invited to submit an application to partner as a subgrantee to United Way, to provide case management services in support of unsheltered residents departing encampments in the successful transition to permanent housing.
