KearnyBank Foundation Grant

KearnyBank Foundation Grant is a grant from KearnyBank Foundation that funds nonprofit organizations working in education, housing, arts and community betterment, and quality of life initiatives in communities served by Kearny Bank. Focus areas include literacy, financial literacy, affordable housing, neighborhood development, arts and culture, support for senior citizens, veterans, people with disabilities, and hospice care.

Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits that submit a Letter of Interest detailing their program, budget, board roster, and audited financials. We help with financial grants but also through the hands-on efforts of many of our employees who are committed to improving lives throughout the areas we serve. The Foundation focuses on organizations who are: Education — Providing literacy, financial literacy, higher education, and youth outreach. Housing — Addressing the urgent need for affordable housing, positive neighborhood development and emergency housing.

Community Betterment (Arts, Culture, Stewardship) — Enhancing our lives through the arts, social programs, local improvements and the understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship. Quality of Life — Helping senior citizens, veterans, people with disabilities or seriously ill including hospice care and end of life family support.

Nonprofit organizations interested in exploring the possibility of applying for a grant are welcome to first submit a Letter of Interest (LOI). The LOI should provide details about your organization and a summary of what your organization is requesting funding for. In order to properly assess your program, we’ll need some information.

Please provide the following: A complete budget for the project or program The current annual operating budget of the organization including in-kind services and volunteers Current Board of Directors listing business addresses and occupations Current audited financial report 501(c)(3) determination letter Please note that the application window for 2025 is now closed.
