Applications open July 6, 2026 , for projects and programs that strengthen children, parents, and families throughout Central Kansas. Funded through the L.
Marie Haun Charitable Fund for Children , the KidsFUNd supports initiatives that help build healthy, thriving communities through one or more of the following focus areas: Children's Behavioral Research Approximately $20,000 available for grant awards Grant requests may range from $1,000 to $2,500 Funding requests must be a minimum of $500.
Funding priority will be given to projects that demonstrate strong alignment with KidsFUNd focus areas and provide meaningful benefits to children, parents, and families through direct services, education, support, or evidence-based practices.
Eligible applicants include: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations Schools, churches, cities, counties, and other qualifying tax-exempt entities Organizations applying through an eligible fiscal sponsor Applicants must serve residents within CKCF's service area, including Harvey, Butler, Marion, Elk, Wilson, and Sedgwick (Valley Center) counties. Begin Accepting Applications Date: Deadline Date (CST Time Zone): 2026 Newton Community Foundation Grant 2026 Newton Community Foundation Grant Opportunity The Newton Community Foundation (NCF), an affiliate of Central Kansas Community Foundation, is pleased to announce the opening of its 2026 Community Grant Cycle.
Approximately $7,500 is available through the Kansas Health Foundation Fund – Newton to support projects that improve community health, encourage healthy lifestyles, and enhance the overall well-being of Newton residents. Funding requests up to $1,500 Application Opens: July 6, 2026 Application Deadline: August 5, 2026, at 5:00 p. m.
Awards Announced: September 2026 (anticipated) Eligible applicants include qualified nonprofit organizations, schools, government entities, churches, and organizations applying through an eligible fiscal sponsor. Projects must benefit the Newton community and align with the fund's purpose of supporting local health and wellness initiatives. Final impact reports are encouraged upon project completion and are due no later than May 2027 .
