JBC Get Started – New Kit | KISS Institute for Practical Robotics Junior Botball Challenge (JBC) Program To get started with the Junior Botball Challenge, Junior Botball Challenge Kit with 1-Team Season Registration. This includes everything needed to participate in the Junior Botball Challenge: robot controller, hardware, mats, registration, and full access to online resources.
The Junior Botball Challenge Kit with 1-Team Season Registration are required for all new participants that don’t have existing robot equipment (Botball, VEX, First LEGO League, etc. Have questions or need help deciding? Junior Botball Challenge Team Registration Start or renew your registration for the new season of the Junior Botball Challenge. If your team already has compatible robotics equipment, such as Botball, VEX, FIRST LEGO League, or similar equipment , this is the registration option for you. This option allows you to participate in the Junior Botball Challenge without purchasing a new JBC robotics kit.
This this option includes: Includes access to all regional JBC events during the current season for 1 team. There will be an option to add additional teams for $15 each. Every team needs to have an active registration to participate in the seasonal events.
Access to online curriculum, build documents, season updates, and virtual simulator Available in-person or virtually Available in-person or virtually This option is for users who already own a robotics kit and only need to start or renew team registration for the upcoming season. Botball is a program of the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics(KIPR), and KIPR actively recruits corporate sponsors in an effort to keep registration fees down and to provide financial assistance to potential Botball teams. Scholarships are limited and depend on available sponsors.
Apply for a KIPR Scholarship The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas are proud to support the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics, helping bring engaging, hands-on robotics experiences to classrooms and communities across Oklahoma. Whether you are introducing Botball or the JBC Challenge for the first time or returning to the program, the OERB’s funding can help bring robotics to your classroom.
Funding is available for both Botball and the JBC Challenge through the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics. Open to classroom and after-school initiatives. A HomeRoom account is required to submit an application.

Funding is limited, and applications are reviewed as they are received. Applicants will be notified of award decisions within 90 days of submitting their application.
