pdf File preview Korea–US Collaborative Advanced Core Bioscience Technologies International Joint Research Project This program aims to support international collaborative research in advanced bioscience , carried out by world-class research teams from both Korea and the US. Joint international research projects focusing on core bioscience technologies, driven by the specific needs of individual researchers.
Projects should demonstrate originality and excellence, with clearly defined and effectively shared roles and responsibilities between Korean and US institutions.
Korea-U.S. Joint Research Support Open-Topic Competitive Call Funding Amount (1st Year) KRW 2 billion total (KRW 1 billion in the 1st year) Up to 4 years (6 months for the 1st year) Eligibility / Project Requirements · Eligible Entities: Industry, Academia, Research Institutes, and Medical Institutions · Must include a Korean-led R&D project and a U.S. joint R&D project · Additional joint R&D projects may be included Expected Number of Selected Projects Milestone Completion Rate: Minimum 80% across the Phase I period Mandatory Indicators: Each team must propose at least three performance indicators that demonstrate achievement of Phase I objectives Publications: At least two papers published in journals ranked in the top 10% (JCR) Intellectual Property: At least two joint international patents filed or registered between Korea and the US Milestone Completion Rate: Minimum 95% for the entire research period Mandatory Indicators: Each team must present at least three indicators demonstrating world-first originality and world-best excellence in source and core bioscience technologies 3.
Research and Development Period Budget Total Duration: 4 years (2025–2028) Note: The 2025 research period will be 6 months; from 2026 onward, each year includes 12 months of activity.
