Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of children by delivering financial support for healthcare, research, education, social services, and child advocacy.
This is realized in part through our Grants Application and event sponsorship . We are proud to invest in and fund nonprofits working to solve the problems affecting children in our community. Organizations interested in applying may review the general grant timeline below as a guide, although specific dates may change.
The Letter of Intent for the 2026-2027 Kosair for Kids Grant Cycle will become available on November 17, 2025. Kosair for Kids is transitioning to a calendar year fiscal year (January 1–December 31) beginning in 2026. To align our grant cycle with this change, we will be adjusting the structure of the 2026–2027 grant cycle.
Our upcoming grant cycle will consider 15 months of funding rather than the traditional 12 months. The general timing of our next grant cycle is similar to years past, just with the additional 3 months of funding. 2026-2027 Grants Timeline Monday, November 17, 2025: Letter of Intent (“LOI”) for 2026-2027 Grant Cycle becomes available in the Kosair for Kids grant portal. Friday, January 9, 2026: Deadline for organizations to complete LOI. Friday, February 20, 2026: Organizations with approved LOI are invited to complete the Kosair for Kids Grant Application.
Monday, March 30, 2026: Deadline for organizations to complete grant applications. Tuesday, June 30, 2026: Kosair for Kids will notify organizations of decisions and awards by this date. October: Awards are distributed.
Larger awards are distributed quarterly starting in October. Grant recipients and all partner organizations – please utilize the updated Kosair for Kids logo on all print, electronic, and media materials. This includes, but is not limited to, letterheads, newsletters, solicitation letters, television commercials and websites.

The SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest is a competitive program from Social Capital Inc. that funds youth-led community improvement projects in Greater Boston. Teams of high school students in grades 9 through 12 residing in Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, or Suffolk counties develop project ideas through coaching from local professionals, then pitch their proposals to a live panel of judges. Winning teams receive $1,000 to $2,000 in grant funding to execute their community-strengthening visions. The program builds career skills including public speaking, project management, and team collaboration, while cultivating cross-socioeconomic connections among peers and mentors throughout the region.
The System Innovations Grant (Youth Opportunities Fund) is a multi-year funding opportunity from the Ontario Trillium Foundation that supports collaborative projects working to understand and strengthen systems so they function better for young people. Grants of up to $1,250,000 over five years fund collaboratives of two or more Ontario-based nonprofits aiming to create lasting systemic change that expands opportunities for youth ages 12 to 29, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous, Black, and other racialized youth facing systemic barriers. Eligible applicants are not-for-profit organizations incorporated for at least five years in Ontario with a mandate to serve youth, forming a formal collaborative. Indigenous- and Black-led organizations and collaboratives are prioritized. Applications were due March 11, 2026—check the Ontario Trillium Foundation website for upcoming intake cycles.
