Intellectual & Developmental Disability Grants - Kuni Foundation Intellectual & Developmental Disability Grants Applicants notified of decision: Imagination Grants: Advancing Opportunity and Inclusion for People Experiencing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Imagination Grants serve as a catalyst for strengthening or expanding the capabilities of an organization in service to its mission.

These one-year grants are intended to fulfill an unmet need or provide a spark to advance initiatives or access additional funding in pursuit of broader community goals. Imagination Planning Grants for IDD Housing The lack of quality, affordable housing options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is an ongoing crisis in the United States.

Planning grants reflect our commitment to supporting the exploration of new, inclusive housing efforts in urban and rural areas of Oregon and Washington that are affordable, scalable, and sustainable. These grants are designed to support the creation of a viable action plan for project development and funding. Organizations must have a primary focus of serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Programs eligible for funding include education, advocacy, employment, the arts, and supportive, inclusive or independent housing. Our geographic focus is Oregon and Washington. Grants are limited to organizations based in—and directly serving residents of—these two states.

Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Applicants using a fiscal sponsor must have an agreement in place at least six months prior to the grant application date, and the fiscal sponsor must demonstrate a five-year history of successful operation.

We will not consider requests for: Reserve funds or debt elimination Tuition assistance or tuition reimbursement Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran, or disability statuses in the delivery of services and in their employment practices.
