LOreal Australia: For Women In Science The L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Australia & New Zealand Fellowships have been awarded each year since 2007 to outstanding early career female scientists.
In 2020 the For Women in Science national program for Australia & New Zealand was a Climate Edition - supporting 5 female researcher tackling issues relating to Climate Change Since the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program was established, more than 3400 women in over 110 countries have been recognised and rewarded for their research.
Welcome to L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Australia & New Zealand Fellowships The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science initiative began in 1998 and since that time the L’Oréal Foundation and UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) have strived to support and recognise accomplished women researchers, encourage more young women to enter the profession and to assist them as they progress their careers.
Globally the program has recognised more than 3400 talented young women scientists, including doctoral candidates and post-doctoral researchers, in more than 110 countries, and honoured 112 International Laureates for excellence in science. Each year, the program recognises four Australian and one New Zealand Fellows. Applications for the Australian and New Zealand $25,000 Fellowships.
