3M+ in loans and grants to 88 projects, saving Jewish institutions over $1. 2M annually in energy costs while cutting 3375 metric tons of CO₂. This is an investment in your community’s future.

Join the Coalition to Apply Saving $3,200 annually and $64K over the lifetime of the equipment Switched an oil-fired boiler for electric heat pumps with a $47K loan. “Not only will it save us a significant amount of money each year on our fuel bills, but it will help us greatly reduce our carbon footprint. It is very exciting and will hopefully inspire some of our congregants to follow our lead in their own homes.

North American Climate Grant Fund Up to $10K matching grants for Jewish organizations in North America. Start saving today. Join the Coalition to Apply Climate Action Fund Application Information Current Coalition member organizations in good standing* are eligible to apply for interest-free loans and matching grants to support their climate work.

Infrastructure projects that reduce climate emissions in these three areas are eligible: sourcing clean electricity We aim to fund projects that guarantee permanent, quantifiable GHG emissions reductions over the long term.

Examples (this is not an exhaustive list) include: electrification of appliances and vehicles to the most efficient technology available We welcome applications from organizations of all sizes and for projects of all sizes. The Climate Action Fund is for new projects; projects that have already started, have a signed contract to complete, or have already been completed are not eligible.

It is required that you read the FAQs to learn more about the types of projects that are and are not eligible, and to get information that will help you write a strong application. Additional factors we consider as we evaluate your loan or grant request include: We prefer organizations that are maximizing rebates and/or other funding sources available to them.

The financial stability of your organization; we prefer financially stable organizations. The likelihood of the project moving forward if the full amount requested is loaned/given and the likelihood of meeting the project completion deadline listed for the particular loan/grant you are applying for. org or book a consultation . North American Climate Loans - Click for Details Required reading: Before applying, read the FAQs to ensure your project is eligible. The North American Climate Loan Fund provides interest-free loans of up to $250,000 for projects that reduce organizational greenhouse gas emissions.

Projects are selected based on emission reduction impact and the other factors listed above that apply to all funds in the Climate Action Fund. Loans have a payback period of up to five years (60 months). Monthly repayment begins July 2027 or project completion, whichever comes first.

An origination fee of 2% is charged to cover administrative costs associated with loan processing. All applicants will be required to participate in a 30-minute interview as part of the process.

Projects typically must be completed within twelve months of loan disbursement (which is roughly six weeks after the application deadline), and organizations will be required to repay the remaining loan balance in full if projects are not initiated within six months of loan receipt. The next application deadline will be November 5, 2026. Before you begin your application, there are a few important things to keep in mind.

We highly recommend reviewing the entire application and application process ahead of time to ensure you have everything in order. Applicants are responsible for any costs incurred by them in connection with this location application, including legal representation.

Board Resolution : Prior to your application submission, the organization’s board must pass a resolution authorizing the Executive Director to take out this loan on behalf of the organization. You can find a template for this resolution here. CEO sign off : The application must be approved in advance by your CEO or other most senior staff member, so you can type their name into the application indicating their approval.

Loan Guarantee : Loans must be personally guaranteed by at least two members of the organization’s board or major donors. Payback: Loans must be paid back over a period of five years (60 months) through monthly automatic payments from your organization’s bank (ACH transfers). Early payback is encouraged.

Documents Required : As part of the application process, we will ask you to share with us: Board resolution authorizing loan. See sample template here. Please provide financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) from either the prior fiscal year or the year before that; older statements cannot be considered.

We strongly prefer financial statements that have been independently audited or reviewed. If your organization does not undergo an audit or review, internally prepared financials (by your accountant, treasurer, or finance staff) are acceptable provided they comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). If available, please separate current assets and current liabilities on the balance sheet preparation.

Trial balances or other internal software reports are not acceptable. Modified cash-basis financials may be accepted from smaller organizations, contact coalition@adamah. org for pre-approval before applying.

Approved budget for the current fiscal year, including updated projections if applicable, and comparison to the prior fiscal year. If there are any “off book” financial arrangements that exist (e.g. loan from a member that is intended to be forgiven), upload a statement that explains the details of the arrangements.

Optional: You may submit a one-page commentary on your current finances when additional clarity would help explain how you are doing, such as an MD&A (Management’s Discussion and Analysis). Most recent 990 if available. Project budget.

Fee : While these loans are interest-free, there is a 2% origination fee charged by Adamah to cover administrative costs associated with the loan program, with a minimum of $500. Camp Gilboa was the recipient of a $20,000 grant from the Adamah LA Sustainability Fund and $50,000 from the Jewish Solar Challenge. Camp Gilboa was highlighted in publicity about these awards. $1 Million Awarded to Adamah Coalition Members for Carbon Reducing Projects Since 2023, Adamah’s Climate Action Fund has awarded $1,846,533 in interest-free loans and matching grants.

Combined there are 79 projects reducing greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 3851 metric tons annually, the equivalent of 50 tanker trucks’ worth of gasoline. JTS Awarded $10,000 Grant from the Adamah Climate Action Fund JTS has been awarded a grant of $10,000 for an LED lighting upgrade in 2026, matching JTS’s own financial commitment.

By converting JTS’s building light fixtures to LED, we are projected to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 69 tons and save $50,000 per year. This is a critical next step in the significant energy efficiency investments that JTS has already made in its infrastructure, such as heating systems and window replacements.
