Youth Grants for Excellence is sponsored by Nebraska Library Commission. These grants support children's and youth librarians in accredited Nebraska public or identified institutional libraries to launch or expand creative youth programs. Funding supports projects that encourage reading, creativity, character development, library use, or services for English learners, and must include at least one youth-focused program or event.

The AI for Economic Opportunity Fund is a partnership between GitLab Foundation and OpenAI providing $250,000 in catalytic funding per organization plus technical resources to US-based nonprofits developing AI solutions that measurably improve economic mobility for low-income populations. Priority areas include unlocking siloed data expanding agent interoperability reducing service delivery costs personalizing learning validating skills and strengthening labor market intelligence. Recipients receive six months of prototyping support from February to August including OpenAI engineer mentorship API credits and technical guidance culminating in a Demo Day at OpenAI San Francisco headquarters. Selected projects become eligible for additional scaling grants from partner philanthropies. The program launched its third annual call for applicants in 2025. This is distinct from the OpenAI Foundation People-First AI Fund which provides unrestricted grants to a broader range of nonprofits and from Google.org programs which focus on different social impact areas.

Program Description: EDA makes planning and local technical assistance investments to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States. Under the Planning program, EDA makes Partnership Planning, Short-Term Planning, and State Planning awards to eligible recipients to create and implement regional economic development plans designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region. More specifically, EDA makes Partnership Planning investments to designated planning organizations (i.e., District Organizations) serving EDA-designated Economic Development Districts and to Indian Tribes to facilitate the development, implementation, revision, or replacement of Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS), which articulate and prioritize the strategic economic goals of recipients’ respective regions. EDA also makes Short-Term and State Planning awards for economic development planning activities that guide the eventual creation and retention of high-quality jobs, particularly for the unemployed and underemployed in the Nation’s most economically distressed regions.
