Law Enforcement Mutual Aid (LEMA) Assistance Fund is sponsored by California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). The Law Enforcement Mutual Aid (LEMA) Assistance Fund reimburses law enforcement agencies that respond to disasters and emergencies outside their jurisdictions.

Effective Fiscal Year 25/26, $10 million was reappropriated to be used through June 30, 2029.

# **Eligible Applicants** LEMA Fund is available to **sworn members** of: * City Police Departments * District Attorneys’ Offices * Coroner/Medical Examiners LEMA Fund will pay 100% of the following eligible costs: * Responding Officer overtime * Backfill for responding Officers * Lodging (case by case, requires approved justification) * Per Diem (case by case, requires approved justification) * Mileage- to and from the incident site * Fuel (case by case, requires approved justification) * Extraordinary Equipment (Case by Case i.
