Donate - Friends of the Israel Defense Forces FIDF MidAtlantic Region Legacy Programs Campaign FIDF’s Legacy Program is a signature summer experience with a unique local touch. The program sponsors B’nai Mitzvah-age children and siblings of fallen soldiers, ages 11–14, to attend Jewish overnight camp at Capital Camps in the MidAtlantic region.
Through this program, participants have the meaningful opportunity to connect with peers and counselors who have also experienced profound loss and understand many of the challenges they carry. This time away from home offers comfort, friendship, and a supportive environment as they continue to heal and rebuild their lives. Campers also take part in special travel experiences, including visits to New York City and an amusement park.
This year, after camp, the children will spend Shabbat with host families in the Baltimore community. To learn more about becoming a host home, please contact midatlantic@fidf. org .
