LEGO Foundation Fellowship is sponsored by The LEGO Foundation. This global research fellowship supports early- and mid-career researchers whose work strengthens understanding of how children thrive across diverse contexts.

It welcomes applications from researchers across disciplines, including human-computer interaction, focusing on how AI is reshaping children's lives (up to 18 years of age) and how it can support thriving, learning, wellbeing, and inclusion.

The LEGO Foundation acts to fund programmes that protect children’s access to education in crisis, ensuring that children can keep growing and learning, even in the hardest circumstances. Alongside our grant making, the LEGO Foundation makes impact investments. Together, these are complementary pathways to achieving meaningful outcomes for children.

They enable us to support solutions that can grow sustainably and reach more children over time. By combining grants and impact investments, we can back innovation, scale what works, and strengthen efforts that improve children’s learning, wellbeing and development. Any financial returns are reinvested into our mission – supporting new grants and impact investments.

This circular approach strengthens our ability to create lasting change. We see this as a natural extension of how we work: acting with urgency and care to support children’s learning, wellbeing and development – and to help build a childhood for all.

Special Educational Needs & learning opportunities The dignity of all children All children, regardless of ability, deserve the opportunity to learn and grow by taking part in a quality education. With a special focus on Autism and ADHD, we work closely with educational organisations to strengthen support for neurodivergent children and their families, delivering proven interventions to help more children thrive.

As a Danish foundation, we are deeply engaged in supporting a thriving childhood for every child in the key institutions and digital environments that shape their lives. We collaborate with municipalities, institutions and civil society to invest in education and wellbeing systems that help children learn and grow in a changing world.
