Financial Grant Application - Leia's Kids Financial Grant Application The mission of the Leia’s Kids Financial Grant is to help offset miscellaneous costs such as travel for treatment, food insecurity, child care, and assistance with unpaid bills for families impacted by childhood cancer. Leia’s Kids provides financial assistance to families facing childhood cancer to help ease the burden of everyday expenses during treatment.
While we cannot guarantee funding for every applicant, our goal is to provide hope and practical support when families need it most. To be eligible for financial assistance through Leia’s Kids, applicants must meet the following requirements: The child must have a diagnosis of childhood cancer. The child must be 15 years of age or younger.
The family must reside in the United States. Applications may be submitted by a parent, legal guardian, hospital social worker, Child Life Specialist, nurse navigator, or another member of the child’s care team. All required documents and requested forms must be submitted before your application can be reviewed.
Incomplete applications will not be processed. Approved grants are issued by check. Grants are awarded and distributed on a monthly basis.
Applicants will be notified by the Leia’s Kids Administration Team regarding the status of their application. If your application is not selected during the current review cycle, it will automatically roll over to the following month’s review. There is no need to submit a new application unless additional information is requested.
Applications may be placed on a waitlist depending on funding availability. Submitting an application does not guarantee financial assistance. All applications are carefully reviewed, and grants are awarded based on eligibility, available funding, and the number of applications received.
