Home - Universal Service Administrative Company Get Phone or Internet Service for Less Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service. How can I manage my existing Lifeline benefit? Transfer: If you wish to transfer your Lifeline benefit to a new company, you may transfer your benefit once a month. To transfer your benefit to another company, contact a company that offers Lifeline and ask them to transfer your Lifeline benefit.
You may need to reapply before your company can transfer you. In most cases, you should not experience an interruption in service. Recertify: Every year, USAC or your state (if you live in Oregon or Texas) will check to confirm you still qualify for the benefit.
