cape-may. nj. us Through support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Historical Commission , the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage administers competitive re-grant funding for eligible arts and history organizations and projects throughout Cape May County.
Funding is awarded annually and is subject to the availability of State funding. 2027 Available Re-Grant Funding County History Partnership Program (CHPP) For program-specific eligibility requirements, funding categories, and application materials, select the LAP or CHPP tab.

All interested applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI).
Applicants will be notified by September 11, 2026 , whether their Letter of Intent has been approved, requires additional information, or is not eligible to proceed. Applications will not be accepted without prior LOI approval. LOI forms are available online (see the CHPP or LAP tab to the left) or by contacting the department at culture@co.

Please review the Program Guidelines and sample application materials before submitting a Letter of Intent. Grant Application Workshops Approved applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the following virtual workshops. Review the Financial Workbook Demonstrate the Google Drive process Two identical virtual workshops will be offered: Applicants only need to attend one session.
Application Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:59 p. m. The 2027 grant application is completed entirely online using Google Forms and Google Drive.
The application has been designed so that each narrative question corresponds directly to the review criteria used by the independent grant review panel, helping applicants provide the information reviewers need to evaluate each proposal. A Google account is required to access your organization's secure Google Drive folder, the online application, and the required application materials.
Only organizations that have received written approval following the Letter of Intent (LOI) review process will be invited to submit a full application.
Applicants who are approved will receive: A link to the online grant application (Google Form) Access to an organization-specific Google Drive folder An Uploads folder for required supporting documentation Please do not begin or submit a full application unless you have received written approval from the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage.
Funding is available under the following categories: General Operating Support General Programming Support Detailed descriptions and eligibility requirements for each category are available in the Program Guidelines. All funded programs and projects must take place within Cape May County. Organizations applying for General Operating Support must be physically located in Cape May County.
Additional program-specific eligibility requirements are outlined in the LAP and CHPP Program Guidelines. Completed applications are evaluated by an independent panel of reviewers from outside Cape May County using the published review criteria found in the Program Guidelines.
The Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage administers competitive matching grants to support eligible arts and history organizations and projects within Cape May County. Grant awards are distributed as follows: 75% of the approved award is released in early February of the grant year following execution of the grant agreement. The remaining 25% is released upon submission and approval of the required Final Report.
Awards of $1,500 or less will be issued as a single lump-sum payment. All grant awards require a 50% cash and/or in-kind match. Matching requirements and eligible match expenditures are explained in the Program Guidelines.

All grant recipients are required to submit a Final Report documenting the use of grant funds and the outcomes achieved.
General Programming Support and Special Project Support recipients must submit a Final Report within 30 days of the completion of the funded activity and no later than the deadline established by the Division. General Operating Support recipients must submit a Final Report by the deadline specified in the grant agreement and communicated by the Division.
Final Reports are submitted electronically using the forms provided by the Division. Important - Failure to report a complete and approved Final Report by the required deadline may result in: Forfeiture of any remaining grant funds. Ineligibility for future Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage grant funding until reporting requirements have been satisfied.
Eligible recipients will receive access to the appropriate Final Report through the online grant management system. Sample Final Report forms are available on this website for reference. The Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage is available to assist applicants throughout the grant process.
