Local Engagement Conference Grant (LECG) | IEEE MECOM 2026 Local Engagement Conference Grant (LECG) This grant is intended to foster local participation and support the Local Track of the IEEE MeCom 2026 conference. The applicant must be an IEEE ComSoc Member .
The applicant must be located within the defined local area (e.g., IEEE Italy Section) Priority is given to Local Track presenters and local chapter members who lack institutional support for registration fees. Recipients who are awarded this grant must register for and attend the conference.
This award provides a discount code for registration and does not include travel reimbursement; therefore, no expense reports or receipts are required. Further details and instructions on how to apply the code will be provided to the awardees upon notification. Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2026 .
To ensure a smooth application process, please have the following information and materials ready before you start: 1. Membership & Professional Information IEEE ComSoc Membership: Your IEEE Member ID (if applicable). Note that most grants require an active IEEE Communications Society membership.
Academic/Professional Status: Your current level (Undergraduate, Master, Ph. D. , or Industry Title) and your affiliation/company name.
Career Timeline: If you are a professional, the year you completed your first professional degree. EDAS Paper ID: If you are applying for a grant that requires a paper (STG, YPTG, LECTG), have your accepted paper ID ready. Statement of Interest (Max 250 words): A concise summary of your research/work, your reasons for attending MeCom 2026, and how it will benefit your career.
Note: If you are indicating that you lack institutional funding, you must discuss this specifically within this statement. Recommendation Writer: The name and email address of a person who can provide a reference (e.g., your academic advisor or supervisor). Updated CV: A PDF version of your CV/Resume.
