## **About the FY 2026-27 (Year 4) Local Government Cybersecurity Protection Program** The Local Government Cybersecurity Protection Program is a $15 million grant opportunity funded through the State Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 General Appropriations Act. This program is designed to assist eligible local governments in mitigating and defending against cybersecurity threats, including, but not limited to, ransomware incidents.
Another primary focus of the program is to develop and enhance cybersecurity risk management programs consistent with s. 282. 3185, Florida Statutes (F.
S). Florida Digital Service contracts for information technology commodities and services and awards such commodities and services to local governments eligible under the grant program criteria, with a priority focus on fiscally constrained counties as described in s. 218.

* Prior local government grantees are eligible and strongly encouraged to apply. ##### **How the Program Works** Rather than issuing direct funding, the Florida Digital Service will procure cybersecurity solutions directly on behalf of awarded applicants. No payments will be made to grant recipients.
No local match is required. The grant is designed to support the delivery of new or expanded capabilities, and will not subsidize payments for tools, services, or contracts already in place. All grantees must share data with the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC).
