We provide healthcare grants to qualified 501C3 nonprofit organizations across five counties, ensuring resources are directed toward initiatives that address critical health needs. Our mission is to foster healthier lives by supporting innovative programs, services, and projects with the potential for lasting, measurable impact.
Grant Opportunities for Nonprofit Healthcare Initiatives We encourage qualified nonprofit organizations to submit proposals for healthcare-related projects that demonstrate innovation, measurable results, and a clear plan for meeting identified community needs. We focus on funding programs that provide far-reaching benefits—medical services, wellness initiatives, mental health support, or preventative care measures.
As a committed philanthropic foundation, we aim to back creative and sustainable solutions that can make a tangible difference in the lives of Southern West Virginians. Established on December 14, 2003, The Logan Healthcare Foundation was founded with the goal of improving the health status of, and access to healthcare for, residents within our designated service area.
As a philanthropic funding organization, we work with a variety of partners to implement programs or award grants to nonprofits that address physical and mental health needs, improve living conditions, and advance public health policies. Our work is guided by a commitment to measurable outcomes, community collaboration, and sustainable improvements that benefit current and future generations.
Read About Our Guidelines Our funding is limited to projects and programs serving the geographic area formerly covered by Logan General Hospital. Eligible initiatives must directly benefit residents of the following five counties in Southern West Virginia: Logan, Boone, Lincoln, Mingo, and Wyoming.
By focusing our resources within this defined area, we ensure that our grants have the greatest possible impact on the communities we are dedicated to serving. The Logan Healthcare Foundation remains steadfast in empowering local organizations, strengthening healthcare systems, and promoting healthier lives throughout Southern West Virginia.
The Foundation's primary charitable purpose is to further enhance health initiatives in the region, including seeking to improve health status and access to health care for the residents of its service area of Logan, Boone, Lincoln, Mingo, and Wyoming counties in southern West Virginia.
Utilizing a variety of approaches the Foundation will award grants to qualified nonprofit organizations with specific, identifiable needs in supporting and/or promoting the adoption of health policies that will address the unmet health needs of West Virginians in its service area.
