Love Your Block Grant Program

Love Your Block Grant Program is sponsored by BMORE Beautiful (Baltimore City). The "Love Your Block" micro-grant supports resident-led neighborhood groups and community organizations in Baltimore City for small projects with a clear public benefit, focusing on the reduction of litter and the enhancement of overall neighborhood aesthetic and safety.

Grant Opportunities | Baltimore City BMORE Beautiful grant programs are designed to support community-based organizations achieve their beautification goals. Applications for our grant programs are accepted on a seasonal basis. Generally, interested applicants must be a registered 501c3 in good standing with the State of Maryland OR have a fiscal sponsor that meet the aforementioned qualifications.

Applicants must operate in Baltimore City. Care-A-Lot Program is designed to support community-based organizations that have the capacity to mow and maintain vacant lots during the "Grow Season" which runs from April to September. Eligible organizations must be a registered 501c3 OR have a fiscal sponsor with a registered 501c3 designation.

This program is not intended for landscaping, small haulers, and other small businesses. This grant is now closed. The application will reopen in January 2027 Love Your Block Grant Program BMORE Beautiful invites resident-led neighborhood groups to apply for the “Love Your Block” micro-grant.

Love Your Block is a community engagement grant designed to support small projects that have a clear public benefit, focusing on the reduction of litter and the enhancement the overall aesthetic and safety of the neighborhood. Interested residents, neighborhood groups, and community organizations are invited to apply. BMORE Beautiful will award projects up to $1500.

Love Your Block will reopen in July 2026. Say YES! (Youth Environmental Stewards) The program is a seasonal youth engagement program.

Community-based organizations can apply for a grant to engage with up to 5 youth in their community on various beautification efforts. Selected youth must live in the neighborhood where they are working. Supervision is provided by community leaders as a way to foster mentorship for the next generation of community leaders and activities.

Say YES! Grant will reopen in April 2026. Activate Your Space Grant Program Activate Your Space is an ancillary grant program to our popular Care-A-Lot program.

Under Activate Your Space, applicants will be able to apply for grant funds up to $5,000 to transform vacant lots through the City. Activate Your Space is designed to provide the resources, education, and support to create unique, safe and publicly accessible community managed greenspaces.

Importantly, Activate Your Space will prioritize applicants that incorporate at least 1 CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) strategy into their application. Project FEED (Fresh Eats in Every District) Project FEED is a grant initiative that supports the development, expansion or revitalization of four urban gardens in food priority areas.

Selected grantees will participate in an Urban Farmers Training Academy (cohort), gaining hands on education, resources and ongoing project and volunteer support throughout the year, culminating in the development of a customized sustainability plan to help each farm thrive long term. BMORE Beautiful will award four emerging urban farms, $10,000 each in grant funds. The grant application will open March 16, 2026.
