Lowcountry Artistic Vitality Artistic Initiatives is sponsored by Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. Offers project-based grants that invest in special artistic opportunities, particularly those that bring forward arts innovation and collaboration in the Lowcountry region. Projects must be catalytic and benefit the greater Lowcountry arts ecosystem.

Opportunities for Current GranteeS Artistic Initiatives Grant Artistic Initiatives offers project-based grants that will invest in special artistic opportunities.

The Foundation is interested in supporting projects that will bring forward arts innovation and collaboration in the region. At least one organization must be an existing general operations grantee , and projects must be catalytic in nature and demonstrate collaboration and innovation that benefits the greater Lowcountry arts ecosystem. Full eligibility will be determined by program staff.

Capacity building support can help organizations navigate these hurdles and ultimately fulfill their artistic aspirations. Cash Reserves Challenge Grant Building and sustaining adequate cash reserves is key to creating stable nonprofit organizations. It not only establishes longevity, it also creates a foundation for expansion, innovation, and risks.

The Foundation offers a one-year Cash Reserves Challenge grant up to $25,000 to help organizations establish or expand their cash reserves. The match must be met through new, increased, or lapsed individual donations and/or corporate contributions. Grants from other funders are not allowed to meet the match.

The challenge grant amount must be raised in its entirety to receive the grant award. An organization must be a current grantee , and full eligibility will be determined by program staff. Opportunities for New and Existing Grantees General Operations Grants The Foundation provides multi-year unrestricted general operations grants for organizations that meet eligibility requirements . Support is provided for professional arts organizations as well as cultural groups that focus on traditional artistic practices (e.g., Gullah-Geechee, Indigenous, Latine, and AAPI communities).
