Maddie's Fund Grants support U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities and government animal well-being organizations focused on dogs and cats. The fund provides grants to organizations that are working to increase lifesaving rates, expand adoptions, and advance innovative animal welfare programs.
To be eligible, applicants must publicly share annual statistics on their website, including intake and outcome data along with the benchmarks used to measure success such as Live Release Rate or Save Rate. Organizations that have previously received Maddie's Fund grants must be current on all reporting requirements. Applications are not accepted from U.S. Territories.

If your organization shelters pets (has intake/outcome data), you must also share the benchmark you use for measuring your success (for example, Live Release Rate, Save Rate, etc.) and the formula you use to calculate your benchmark on the same page as your annual statistics.

Grant recipients must agree to provide a report on how their grant funds were spent and the results of implementing their program. Depending on the grant, this may be requested in the form of a narrative report, financial information or Zoom call.
