SME manufacturing digital transformation support in the London | Made Smarter Made Smarter Adoption Programme Helping London manufacturers to adopt the right digital tools. The Made Smarter adoption programme aims to empower and support London's manufacturing businesses. As the city's official growth agency, London & Partners is dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting businesses in their digital transformation journey.
Who is delivering the Made Smarter adoption programme in London? The Made Smarter adoption programme in London is delivered by London & Partners on behalf of the Greater London Authority. London & Partners is the growth agency for London, which works to support businesses and create economic growth that is resilient, sustainable and inclusive.
Made Smarter London: Transforming Manufacturing SMEs Made Smarter adoption in London Localised advice and support We aim to connect ‘makers’ to the digital tools they can utilise to transform the way they work. The programme will grow eligible businesses through emerging digital technology and help them to cut costs, go to market faster and reduce downtime.
A dedicated Technology Adoption Specialist will assess your application upon registration to ensure each business is given the support they need. A detailed diagnostic and assessment process will help firms to develop a strategic action plan towards technology adoption.
Localised digital transformation workshops A half-day site visit and workshop with your Technology Adoption Specialist will assess your business, and your digital adoption vision, barriers, and priorities. The team will then help you to create a digital transformation roadmap, designed to address your challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
Following your roadmap, you could get involved with further specialist support, enrol in leadership and workforce development courses, be offered a digital intern, or receiving a match funded grant.
Leadership & Management Training for Digitalisation This course, delivered by Brunel University and Brunel Business School, equips leaders within the business to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and implement digital change effectively, blending expert-led learning with real-world application.
Within the course are site visits to best-in-class manufacturers adopting Industrial Digital Technologies (IDT), peer networking sessions to hear from what others are doing, and project-based learning to accelerate digital transformation.
Organisational Workforce Development Training Course Delivered by King's Business School and ChangeSchool London, this course will help equip team leaders and managers with the skills to drive growth and lead their teams through change.
Within this course, you’ll gain insights into strategy, change management, leadership, and upskilling, through interactive workshops, group sessions with fellow manufacturers, and tailored one-to-one consultancies to assess and refine your individual plan.
An internship from Made Smarter allows you to be supported by the expertise of a student or recent graduate, giving your business an immediate skills injection to assist with a tailored digital project. Digital interns are funded by Made Smarter at the London Living Wage per hour for up to 90 days.
Localised funding support Businesses involved on the Made Smarter London programme can apply for matched funding (50% minimum contribution required) up to 20K, to invest in new digital tools, systems or equipment that will accelerate growth and efficiency. Guidance is provided on the application process and to create an effective digital roadmap to ensure the technology is taking your business in the right direction.
