Volunteer Time Off and Matching Gifts It's important for our employees to have time off hours to support the communities in which they live. • 2024 Volunteer Time Off Hours: 2,000 • 2024 Total Giving and Matching Gift Amount: $51,200.

00 Congratulations to the 2023 Barry Smith Caring Award recipient! We’re proud to announce that Talia Hammer, senior military family life counselor (MFLC) readiness specialist, is the first-place winner of this year’s Barry Smith Caring Award! Talia will receive a $5,000 donation to be given to the charity of her choice: Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support.

Learn more about the organization here. Magellan Cares Foundation Sponsored Charities Magellan focuses on supporting charities that address behavioral health needs and the needs of military families. A sponsored charity receives a $2,500 donation from the Magellan Cares Foundation each month.

The foundation will also match employee donations up to $500 made to the charity. Magellan's Employee Relief Fund Thanks to the generosity of employee donations, this unique program enables employees to apply for financial assistance in the event of a tragedy, disaster, or other extreme life events to cover basic living expenses.
