Make Ready Infrastructure Program Our Make Ready program offers funding and support to develop the electrical infrastructure needed for your EV charger installations, significantly reducing upfront costs and accelerating the installation process. With up to $300K in funding per qualifying project and expert assistance, there’s never been a better time to set up EV charging at your business.
We'll manage the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of all electrical infrastructure leading up to your chargers, making it easier for your business to meet the growing demand for reliable EV charging while contributing to a sustainable future. Make your location ready for EV charging We install and maintain the electrical infrastructure behind your meter up to your charger ports.
To apply for funding for the Make Ready Infrastructure program, your installation must meet the following requirements: Public-Facing Installation (Accessible or Serving the Public): Chargers must either be installed in areas accessible for public use or designated for public fleets, which serve the general public. Charger Quantity: You must install six or more charging ports, or at least one DC fast charger.

You will need to provide relevant project details including: Your Georgia Power account number Site address for the charger installation Contractor’s contact information (if applicable) Step 2: Eligibility Review Once you submit your application, our team will review your project details to confirm it meets the program criteria. We will contact you to discuss your project details and schedule a site visit.
Step 3: Site Assessment & Design Our experts will conduct an on-site visit to assess your power availability and develop the site design to ensure sufficient power capacity based on your charger needs and desired location. Once the site design is finalized, and the project receives approval from all relevant parties, you may purchase your chargers while we order the infrastructure equipment.
Note that project timelines may vary due to global supply chain delays. A pre-construction meeting will be held on site upon equipment arrival. System installation will begin soon after, and you can install your chargers once the infrastructure is complete.

You are then able to focus on the purchasing and installing of the charger of your choice and any additional things you need, such as bollards, signage, space painting, etc. The Make Ready program applies to on-road and off-road electric transportation technologies. Georgia Power currently offers a Make Ready Infrastructure Program. This is an electric transportation infrastructure program that is available to all Georgia Power business customers throughout the state of Georgia that provides funding for the electrical infrastructure to support your electric transportation chargers. What customers are eligible to participate in the Make Ready Program? All business customers interested in participating in this program can start by completing a Make Ready Application found on our online application portal here . The program is available to Georgia Power business customers, including commercial and industrial customers, municipalities, universities, schools, hospitals, and multifamily developments.

Our Business EV Charger Plus Rebate program offers savings for projects that require fewer chargers or chargers being installed for private use, such as for your fleet or employees.
