"BUILDING PHILANTHROPY TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY" The Mariposa Community Foundation, is located in the rural foothill community of Mariposa, California. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping the organizations that help our citizens both in good times, as well as times of extreme need.

, the Sierra Foothill Conservancy, and the Mariposa Soroptimists Club to help span the gaps from lost funding. It goes without saying that children are our future. There is no better way to build community in the future than by supporting the growth and development of our youth.
Our Foundation has been honored to provide funding and support for a variety of youth programs from experiences attending symphonies and operas, to writing contests and pen pal programs, and the premiere Dinner with a Scientist program. Building community means helping neighbors. From wildfires to global pandemics, disasters are devastating to individuals and other nonprofit organizations, alike.
During those times, the Foundation proudly steps in to assist where it can - from distributing donated funds for fire victims or granting funds to help other nonprofits continue. "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."
