Undergraduate Scholarships | Department of Computer Science Undergraduate Scholarships Scholarships not only help finance tuition, but they also are a great addition to students’ résumés, which can lead to additional academic and career opportunities. There are a number of academic scholarships available to Computer Science undergraduate students. Computer Science Scholarships are offered to undergraduate students.
Scholarship recipients are chosen based on a variety of criteria which is set by the donors. Some of these include the non-traditional student, demonstration of leadership, research interests, and more. A majority of the scholarships available are listed below.
Award amounts differ from year to year as funding sources change, but awards typically range from $500 to $2,000. By simply completing one application (the OneApp), you will be considered for ISU Office of Student Financial Aid scholarships, LAS College scholarships, and department scholarships. There are many scholarships that consider academic achievement, financial need, major, career interest and other factors.

iastate. edu/scholarships/ Charlie & Barb Hunt Scholarship in Computer Science A fund has been established to reward students who have a strong work ethic, are highly motivated and are pursuing an education in Computer Science or Software Engineering while encouraging a higher education for non-traditional students.
This includes students who may be managing many life challenges including, but not limited to raising children,working full or part time, returning to college after taking time away from studies, or other life circumstances. This award is available to 2nd year students and up and financial need is required. Arthur A.
Collins Education Fund in Computer Science This award has been established in honor of Arthur A. Collins by Rockwell Collins to support student scholarships. Scholarships are available to Computer Science students at any stage of their educational career.
To be qualified, students must have a GPA of 3. 0 or better, be able to demonstrate leadership and personal integrity, with preference given to residents of Iowa. Bian Li Diversity in Computer Science Endowed Scholarship The donors have established this scholarship in computer science as a way to support students from a diverse background. They hope that the recipients of the scholarship are individuals that will use their degrees attained at Iowa State University to impact the community and world in a socially positive way.
Computer Science Scholarships Computer Science receives funding from donations by friends, family, alumni, and other donors. Thanks to their generosity, this general scholarship is available to all students studying Computer Science.
