Macon-Bibb County Government Main Street Macon announces $50,000 marketing grant program Macon-Bibb County through its Main Street Macon program is announcing a new tool to support small businesses and help them be successful. Eligible businesses can apply for a grant of up to $1,500 for marketing assistance that will help to create or maintain jobs that benefit people with low to moderate incomes.
The grants are being made available from a $50,000 Marketing Grant Program using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. “By providing retail and business owners this opportunity, we want to help our small and local businesses thrive, grow, and continue to create experiences that reflect our unique community,” says Main Street Macon Manager Steven Fulbright.
“In the past several years, our urban core has attracted more and more entrepreneurs to open new businesses or relocated existing businesses, and we want to help them succeed and be a part of the ongoing revitalization of Downtown and our entire community. ” Marketing grant funds will be used to promote small businesses and Macon-Bibb County as a whole through advertising campaigns.
The Main Street Macon Promotions Committee will review each application and approve or decline the campaign at their discretion. Applicants must be a business owner in Macon-Bibb County and have 10 or less full time employees. Each grant awarded must be matched by 10% non-grant funding.
