View more Maryland Lighthouse Industries Upskilling and Reskilling Program The Maryland Lighthouse Industries Upskilling and Reskilling Program is a $1 million competitive grant opportunity designed to strengthen transferable and emerging technology skills in industries essential to the state’s economic growth, including life sciences, technology, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing.
Applicants may apply for up to $200,000 to support the upskilling and reskilling of jobseekers or incumbent workers, and must partner with at least three employers to ensure training programs are aligned with real-world workforce needs. View more .
Maryland Lighthouse Industries and AI Internship Program The Maryland Lighthouse Industries and AI Internship Program is designed to support internships and other career preparation programs for college seniors and recent graduates in life sciences, technology, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing.
Eligible applicants may apply for up to $150,000 to provide up to $10,000 in wages per intern, to offset a portion of administrative program costs, and to provide supportive services for interns. View more .
Until funds are exhausted Career Pathways for Healthcare Workers Program The Career Pathways for Healthcare Workers Program helps increase opportunities for health care workers to receive training across the State through matching grants to eligible employers that pay for worker training programs. MD Labor may award grants for a maximum of $50,000 per grant. View more .
Direct Care Workforce Innovation program The Direct Care Workforce Innovation Program provides matching grants to eligible entities that create and expand upon successful recruitment and retention strategies in an effort to increase the number and availability of direct care workers across Maryland. Maryland Apprenticeship Incentive Program The Maryland Apprenticeship Incentive Program helps employers offset the cost of training Registered Apprentices. Under the program, Maryland Registered Apprenticeship sponsors or employers may receive up to $3,000 for each newly registered adult apprentice, or up to $7,500 for each newly registered high school level apprentice, to offset eligible training expenses. Until funds are exhausted Adult High School Pilot Program The Adult High School Pilot Program is now accepting proposals for additional operators to help more Maryland adults earn a diploma, with an emphasis on bringing the model to rural Maryland. The State will provide grant opportunities of up to $250,000 in support of approved pilots.
4th & Goal Program is designed to support learners who have completed three GED® tests with only one more to go on the way to a Maryland High School Diploma. Specifically, 4th and Goal offers short-term assistance for classes and tutoring and for covering the costs of practice tests and the fourth and final exam.
Rolling through Sept 15, 2026 or until funds are exhausted The Public Sector Apprenticeship Innovation Fund is an initiative to support the growth of Registered Apprenticeships within government entities across Maryland. Using the “earn and learn” model, the purposes of the Fund are to bolster the State’s public sector workforce, develop and retain talent, and connect Marylanders to good paying careers.
